UK Companies without an EU address will be unable to register or renew .eu domains post Brexit, according to the European Commission.

This is obviously a big change for companies using this domain. The commission states:

As of the withdrawal date, undertakings and organisations that are established in the United Kingdom but not in the EU, and natural persons who reside in the United Kingdom will no longer be eligible to register .eu domain names or, if they are .eu registrants, to renew .eu domain names registered before the withdrawal date.

The exact timing of this change is unsure because of uncertanty around brexit, but it’s worth migrating to another domain and redirecting the .eu domain while it’s still possible to do so. Emails will also be affected by the change.
